Wedding Photography with Suzie | Lady in Pink Photography

We're excited to welcome Suzie of Lady in Pink Photography as our September presenter!

Suzie brings 23 years of wedding industry experience to the table — and her story starts exactly where many of ours did: in a high school darkroom. In 2002, as a senior photography club member at Lehigh Senior High School, she volunteered to photograph a friend's mother's wedding, developed the black and white film herself, and hand-printed every image. That single experience launched a career that took her through the destination wedding circuit in Fort Lauderdale and Miami before she founded Lady in Pink Photography in 2008.

Today, Lady in Pink covers everything from engagements and weddings to Quinceañeras, maternity, newborns, fantasy mermaid sessions, pet photography, light painting, and breast cancer warrior portraits — if light and shadow touch it, Suzie shoots it.

Her September program is packed: Suzie will open with a personal dedication to the people who shaped her as an artist, then walk us through her why — what keeps her passionate after two decades. From there, the program dives into two hands-on, practical topics:

🌸 Wedding Day Flatlays — What are today's brides and grooms actually looking for? Suzie will showcase real examples and break down the camera settings and lighting behind each one.

🎂 Lighting a Wedding Cake in Under 2 Minutes — Because that's all you get. She'll cover the key shots before and after the cutting, then close with a live demo on lighting setup for both a flatlay and a cake — under real time pressure. Bring your cameras. Suzie encourages members to participate in the demo.

In addition to her photography work, Suzie serves on the board of Idea Box Integrated Arts (Chicago) and has held multiple positions with the National Association of Wedding Professionals Fort Myers Board and the Learning For Life Character Education Fort Myers Board.
